Permission had previously been granted for a large house on this site, a former Yorkshire Water moorland service reservoir.

However, the previous scheme had not maximised the opportunity for natural light, external space and energy efficiency as desired by our client who approached us for an alternative scheme.

The result will be a stunning and unique contemporary home of 10,000 square feet set within the walls of the old reservoir.

Our client says: “Our development needed thought, design, flair and a little sprinkling of magic … Niche Design delivered just that.”

“The final design is so close to the original concept, it is a testimony to their careful interpretation of the brief.”

“The support and assistance Chris and Cathy provide is outstanding and we can’t recommend them enough.”

“In fact we have already commissioned them for our next project.”
